ATTRACTIONS

Shopping, sightseeing, and eating are high up on any travellers’ list. We know exactly how hard it is to plan a holiday that everyone will love so here’s a list to get you started.

Tiong Bahru
Affectionately referred to as Singapore’s hipster central, Tiong Bahru is a heaven for any café-hopping enthusiast. Spend an afternoon people-watching with a latté in hand or go on a hunt for colourful wall murals. We recommend these places for food and ambience: Merci Marcel, Tiong Bahru Bakery, P.S. Cafe Petit, Chapter 55, Plain Vanilla Bakery & Creamier. Of course, there's so much more Tiong Bahru has to offer! Not forgetting the distinctive architecture and as one of the island's oldest housing estates, Tiong Bahru marries both traditional and contemporary to excude an unique charm. Don't miss out on a trip to Tiong Bahru Market to experience Singapore's hawker culture, which was inscribed as Singapore's first element on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on 16 Dec 2020. Havelock
With the opening of Havelock MRT station, it provides everyone easy access to some of the hidden gems at Havelock. Cross the road from the back of our hotel and it will lead you to Giok Hong Tian Temple, Hock Teck Tong Temple, Ya Hua Bak Kut Teh and The Butcher's Dining. We are also a short walk away to Great World City which houses boutiques, a grocery store, restaurants and a cinema theater.

Singapore River
Hop onto the Water Taxi, operated by Singapore River Cruise, for a scenic cruise down the Singapore River. The Water Taxi also doubles up as a form of transport, bringing you to sights such as the Esplanade and Merlion Park. Fares are around SGD 5 per person.

Clarke Quay
The night is always young at Clarke Quay, where you can relax and knock back a pint or two. Take your pick from a hodgepodge of bustling bars, bespoke food joints, or experience the thrill of picking your own live seafood for dinner.

Chinatown
A delightful mix of old and new, be prepared to have your senses assaulted along the streets of Chinatown. Feast your eyes on vibrantly-coloured architecture, as well as stalls peddling steaming dumplings and rolls upon rolls of the finest Chinese silk.

Orchard Road
Known as Singapore’s main shopping street, Orchard Road is the place to hit up for some serious retail therapy. Let loose and amble your way through hundreds of shops featuring both local and international brands. Pick up something new for the closet or fill your suitcases with souvenirs and gifts for your family. The street is peppered with countless cafés and restaurants as well, all of which offer an inviting enclave that’s perfect for a mid-shopping cuppa.

Gardens By the Bay
Don’t miss out on the chance to marvel at the towering Supertrees, which comprises towering vertical gardens that come alive in the night. Also, did you know that the world’s tallest indoor waterfall is located within the Cloud Dome? Drop by the Flower Dome for lots of instagram-worthy shots with different floral themes throughout the year with the highly anticipated Christmas Wonderland extravaganza (November/December). A trip to Gardens By the Bay is perfect for everyone – regardless of age!

Fort Canning Park
Head to Fort Canning Park for a delightful respite from the city chaos and revel in some fresh air, plenty of lush foliage and splendid scenery all around. Fort Canning Park plays host to multiple events throughout the year, the most notable of which include Shakespeare in the Park and Films at the Fort. Grab your family and friends, pack a picnic and stretch out on the grass under the stars.

Sentosa (Includes Universal Studios, iFly Singapore & S.E.A Aquarium)
Home to pristine beaches, luge rides, a MegaZip and more, it’s no wonder Sentosa is called the ‘State of Fun’. Spend a morning getting that long-awaited tan before heading to Universal Studios to try the Battlestar Galactica, an exhilarating double roller coaster with death-defying twists and turns.

If you just can’t get enough, make a beeline for iFly Singapore for even more thrills – where you can experience indoor skydiving. It’ll feel every bit like a proper skydive, just under a roof! If you prefer to take things a little slower, however, the S.E.A Aquarium is home to more than 10,000 marine animals for you to marvel at.

River Wonders
Asia’s first and only river-themed wildlife park, don’t forget to catch Kai Kai and Jia Jia – two incredibly adorable pandas – in the flesh.

City Tours
If you prefer a seamless and fuss-free experience, sit back and relax on a City Tour. Explore Singapore in absolute comfort and style. Marvel at city sights from a hop-on hop-off bus that’ll bring you to all of Singapore’s major attractions. Enjoy unobstructed views from the open top buses and don’t forget to grab an audio guide (available in the languages of English, Chinese, Russian, German and Korean) as you board. Alternatively, opt for a ‘Land & Water Amphibious Adventure’ with Captain Explorer DUKW® Tours. Trundle around Singapore’s sights before (literally) making a splash into the Singapore River for a sightseeing adventure like no other.
